    Reinsurance Interest Group presented its acclaimed “Reinsurance: State of the Art” Seminar

    In accordance with long standing tradition, the Reinsurance Interest Group presented its acclaimed “Reinsurance: State of the Art” seminar again this year at the Annual National Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Conference in Anaheim, CA. Frank Nutter, President of the Reinsurance Association of America moderated a panel of industry professionals comprised of Barbara Bufkin, Executive Vice President at Guy Carpenter; Matthew Sweesy, CPCU, Vice President at Zurich North America; Nancy Bewlay, Managing Director at Swiss Reinsurance Corporation and Alan R. Lewis, CPCU Senior Vice President at Epic Intermediaries. The session provided a stimulating and informative panel discussion that spanned a wide-ranging spectrum of recent industry developments, emerging trends and the future outlook for profitable opportunities in the reinsurance business.

    EPIC Intermediaries is pleased to announce some of our recent success stories, helping brokers write Public Entity Insurance:
    1. Large Southern County Risk Manager and Broker called Epic to discuss their insurance program. Epic’s team provided the county a 30% savings off their expiring premium while enhancing the coverages.
    2. Municipal Workers Pool was looking to reduce their $1,000,000SIR retention and risk. The Epic provided a $750,000 retention at a 5% higher premium than expiring.
    3. Large Northeast City was seeking alternatives to their continuing rising premiums. Their broker turned to Epic Intermediaries which created an innovative program that reduced premiums and increased coverage.
